Greenlight · merch-funded productions

Wear the crew.
Fund the film.

A project tee that pays for the project. Every eligible shirt sends a fixed amount — usually $8 — straight to a student production's budget. Not a donation. A better way to buy a shirt.

How a $32 tee breaks down · example
  • Blank + print + shipping to the supporter~$17
  • Fixed contribution to the production$8
  • Payment processing + reserve~$3
  • Crew Call~$4

Illustrative. The contribution is fixed per unit; it never scales with discounts or price changes.

Seven steps

Apply to paid-out

  1. 01
    Apply

An adult organizer tells us about the film, the group and the goal. Ten minutes.

  2. 02
    Verify

We confirm the organizer, the organization and the payee. No anonymous drops.

  3. 03
    Design

Upload artwork or let us build the project tee. We proof it on real blanks.

  4. 04
    Agree

Fundraiser terms, disclosure language and the payee are locked in writing.

  5. 05
    Launch

Your campaign page and product lineup go live with a countdown.

  6. 06
    Fulfill

Every order ships on demand from our print partner. No inventory, no boxes in your garage.

  7. 07
    Reconcile

After the return window closes we net out refunds and pay the production.

Two ways to run a drop

The production is the customer. The school is optional.

Production

Self-serve

A student film group run by an adult organizer. Apply, design, launch. Payouts go to the organizer's verified payee.

  • ✓ Campaign page, lineup, updates, supporters wall
  • ✓ Production board with earned / held / available
  • ✓ Marketing kit, QR flyer, UTM links
  • — No school name or logo on merch
  • — Listed under the school in the directory, unbadged
School partner

Faculty-claimed

A faculty advisor or administrator claims the school and signs the name/logo and payee agreement. Every production at that school can level up.

  • ✓ Everything in Production
  • ✓ School name and logo on merch and the campaign page
  • ✓ “School partner” badge on every drop
  • ✓ Payouts to the school's account or a designated activities fund
  • ✓ School-wide statements for the business office

Drops on the board

The first drop is yours

No productions are rolling yet. Apply with your film, your crew and a goal; once we verify the organizer, your project tee goes up on this board.

Questions

Quick answers

Is this a donation?
No. Supporters buy a shirt. A fixed amount per eligible unit funds the project.
Does the school have to be involved?
No. A production can run self-serve. A school can partner later to unlock its name and logo.
When does the money arrive?
After the drop wraps and the return window closes — typically 30–45 days after the last sale.
